  • I am disappointed. My case says that this has two workouts. The first one being 20 minutes and the second being approx. 40 minutes with cardio “bursts.” Much to my dismay when I played this DVD for the first time the second workout was only approx. 30 minutes with no cardio “bursts.” That was specifically why I bought the video. It seems with some research there are two versions of this and I was an unlucky person who had one version of the DVD and a different version of the packaging. Did Gaiam not think that people would notice this? The version of this video that I have is really for beginners or maybe on light days. I absolutely love Val and I know this isn’t her fault but I’m really upset that I bought this and wasted my money. She is way too good for this company mistake.

  • The longer workout is pretty good. Straight forward basic exercises. The shorter one does’nt seem to be enough.

I love Valerie Bertinelli. I am enjoying her second book (not as good as the first) but I like her writing voice. I found Christopher to be very easy to follow. The first 20 minute workout is a bit tough if you have knee problems, but actually is a very easy workout and too easy for me.

The second workout is more of a challenge. But my BIGGEST complaint is that it is such a boring workout! The music is sooo “elevator” like. Why couldn’t there be good current music playing in the background? Van Halen perhaps? I have other dvd’s that accomplish this. You could still hear the instructor.

I was so sick of Valerie complaining about the exercises, enough already. If she is complaining, why should we be excited about it? I do not think they were “having fun” working out as she states in the beginning. I was hoping for more of a cardio challenge. I think the second excercise series is fairly good workout – but I will have my ipod playing fun and inspiring music.

Valerie, did you have any of your girlfriends watch this before you released it? Well, I’m disappointed in the DVD but you do look wonderful.

  • I love this DVD workout.

My legs were so sore the next day and the AB workout was great because it gets the job done in the least amount of time. The bonus is you dont have to have a lot of time to do the workout. On days I want more (have more time and more energy)I just do it twice and that really works you. One of my new favs!!!

Over the years, I have bought lots of workout DVDs but this is by far the BEST and refreshingly different from all of the rest. There are two full length workouts that anyone can do – cardio bursts & sculpting combined plus two killer ab routines. The workouts are challenging for those who are in great shape and Christopher shows modifications for those just getting started. You can easily follow what you’re supposed to be doing without hitting pause every minute and rewinding. And what I like the best is that it’s just Valerie and Christopher. It’s like they’re working out right along side of you. I doubt there are two more likable, down-to-earth people that you’d want to work out with. I can totally relate to Valerie asking Christopher if he’s counting – it’s just what you’re thinking when you’re doing the workout. . . please let there be only one more! This is a great DVD!!
