you make a good point. I don’t own the P90X program, but it seems to be a good program for fat loss/looking good at the beach. Athletes don’t lift weights to look good, they do it to increase sport performance.

The regular joe/jane could care less about sports/athletic performance. We just want to look hot.

  • trojanguy85 says:

@marlitos101 yeah buddy, most people increase from say doing about 5 to 6 each time to doing 12 to 14 which amounts to over 60 in a work out..

This is about the most hilarious video I’ve ever seen.

also tony talks about muscle confusion. A muscle does not change *grow* because it is confused. A muscle changes because a higher workload ie stress has been applied to it. And it adapts to adjust to the higher stress. This is done through gradual increase in stress in the workout like increasing weights or more reps. Body weight movements are still great for muscular endurance. But it be great to add in the basic compound movements in addition to this program for maximum results. !basics work

hey i just want to make it clear im not bashing this P90 x program. any excersise is better than no excersice after all. But it would be good to add a solid resistance program with some key exersices like squats deadlifts Bench etc with some challenging weight for the 8-12 rep range. Remember a muscle cannot “tone” it can only do three things, stay the same, grow, or get smaller. Theirs a reason all athletes do squats deadlifts bench etc, because thier basic compound movements.

what is the right equipment for the p90x?

  • marlitos101 says:

to do p90x do u hve to be able to do a lot of pullups, because i can hardly do any even though i consider myself in kina good shape and looking to get better, so would it still be worth it to get p90x

  • marco8263 says:

    oh sei velocissimo..ah ahh

  • jullerbuller says:

haha, it looks soo funny when youre doing the back excersice byt he fan” hey-ho-hey-ho”

people work out a lot of different ways, but my days are back and bicep chest and triceps legs cardio, and rotate between abs and lower back. making sure that you do back first, the biceps. or chest first then triceps because it’s a bigger muscle. so if your really sore i would wait a day, because you can overdo it, which will have the opposite affect you want on your muscles.

    hope i helped…
    Zep.

  • dac086 says:

it depends. how much are you willing to spend on it. also do you have the right equipment for p90x?

  • Ferminator0808 says:

Damn that looked hard as hell… where can i get P90x for a good price? or does anyone have a way i can just download it or something…

  • smellsgood3 says:

you could be squeezing the weight w/ your hand too tight. try relaxing your grip and do the movement. that will take some of the tension off of your forearms and more directly on your biceps.

  • KINGxKAWNG says:

ive been doing alota this stuff i didnt realize this was p90x

  • dac086 says:

yes, on some of the moves it does work the forearms. it is a combination move.

  • m3t4ldude says:

Ok Question. IS it still ok when i work my Biceps i feel the burn in my forearm rather than bicep is that still ok?

  • AlHouseProductions says:

the fan is a lifesaver in this one

  • murdamach93 says:

when your body sore from working out you still have to do your exercise the same way so that you wont get sore again

  • dac086 says:

the power bands will give you a different workout. You will feel the burn more on the bands but you will get stronger on the pull up bar. If you can’t do pullups yet then the bands are the way to go. I have the select tech dumbells that go from 5 pounds to 52.5. They are perfect for P90X. When I first started p90x I only had weights of 10, 15 and 20. Those were good enough for the arms and shoulder workouts but the back workouts I needed more so I decided to invest in them.

  • kemikal76 says:

2 questions for you… It looks like you aren’t using a pull up bar and are instead using the power bands, are you getting good results using the bands?

Also, how many different weights do you use for your dumb bells?

  • dac086 says:

i think you should do it. The first week is tough but your body will get used to it and get beter. did you do the fit test before hand? what were your results there?

  • heymanhaha says:

hey guys my biceps feel sore the day after this workout and it interferes with my Legs and Back workout because my biceps continue to be sore..(not healed completely) should I wait until it’s completely healed or should I just do my Legs and Back workout?
Please reply, this has been slowing down my workout process, and also I don’t wanna hurt myself either. If anyone of you guys is willing to share his/her p90x account(so I can ask tony), I would so much appreciate it.
    cheers

  • dac086 says:
