I rated these so low because of the following: the resistance is not what is stated, they broke, and they are uncomfortable to use.
Quality: I purchased these as a substitute for more expensive bands, as I recently started the P90X workout program, and I know resistance bands work better for some exercises than weights. I knew I was saving money, but did not expect the bands to state 25-30 lbs resistance, but actually feel like 10 lbs. All of the bands are significantly under the range stated.
Durability: One of the resistance bands broke after only 2 weeks of use. I was only able to work out with my bands 4 times.
Functionality: I guess you get what you pay for. There are metal triangles at the end of each band. The handles have clasps that connect to these triangles. These (rather large) metal triangles do not stay center while working out, they tend to slip and end up moving to one side or the other. It is rather uncomfortable having these rub on your forearms while doing sets/ exercises.

I am using these with the P90X workout. I have had two bands break though. The first was the green band. I was doing an excercise where you lay the band straight, step on the band near the handle, and pull, almost like a heavy pants move. Anyway the band broke near the clip. I e-mailed the company and the owner was quick to ship a replacement to me. I had another one break on the same excercise, again the owner sent me another replacement band. He even sent both to my APO for free. This is a good product, just be careful if you shorten the bands up for certain exercises. I just omit any exercise that calls for you to step on the band near the clip.
PROS:Cheap, effective, lots of combonations of weight
CONS:Bands might break if not used correctly, not as good as free weights (This goes for any resistance bands)

Bought these and the first day the green band broke. I called the company and they replaced it but since then the red, black, blue and second green band have also snapped. Spend a little more money and get a better quality band.

the product is exactly as described. have an issue with one of the clips on the yellow band where it gets stuck open/closed. other that that great product! using with p90x.. all bands are fully warranted for life according to the manual so i dont forsee having any issues. solidly built. door anchor is great. make sure you have enough room to use it though (i.e.: not a hallway). from clip to clip, the bands are approx. 3.5ft long. with the handles, it’s right around 4.5 ft. highly recommend these!
