P90X Nutrition Plan Update
This is an update of a post we did a few months ago. The post, and the information discussed in this video can be found at bit.ly People began to notice that the daily tracker provided within the spreadsheet did not add up to their personal caloric needs. We should have pointed out that this track would need to be customized to each persons particular caloric needs. In addition, there is a word about healthy fats and their importance to body.
@MultiDann23 Yes, it will effect your results. However, we recommend that people eat 80/20. 80% good whole foods. 20%, not so much. Will a few beers watching football set you back? Yes. But I’d rather that you have a nutrition plan that is sustainable for more than 90 days. That will make sure you maintain your results. If you want really great results use the 90/10 version of that rule. Less is really more.
is it ok to eat a little junk food on sunday if i eat extremely well on mondays to saturdays or will it effect my p90x results? Thanks
@drceuss The URL is under the video. You have to drop down the title box to show the whole thing. If you go to THEFITCLUBNETWORKdotCOM there is a link to it on the main page. Just load the page and wait for the posts to scroll through.
does anyone have the link to this info he didnt leave the url
@TheFatherofLove Excellent. Thanks! We offer free Coaching for P90X if you are interested in getting more information on that as well.
I am beginning p90X this afternoon AND am really excited for the site you have set up. I find the coneection between Nutrition and Excersise sadly neglected most of the time. Anyway I will comment back as I get into this and have better feedback for you on the set up…Thank u for being a fitness educational tool

@ZR0TheNewistReviewer That really depends on what else you eat. You can get most of what you need from whole foods (Omega 3′s are hard sometimes). The supplements really just provide an easy way for your body to get what it needs without having to seek out those foods that can do the same.
what if i dont use the supplements can i still get the same results?
hey man, im skinny and weigh 140, im planning on starting the p90x program but i need to know what to eat to get bigger while building muscle. obviously i dont need to lose weigh, but i dont wanna build up muscle and still look skinny if you know what I mean. please give an idea of what type of foods i should eat or if i should take supplements along with the food in the nutrtion plan.

I’m just wondering I’m a 21 yr old female that weighs about 145 I’m only 5′ 4″ n would like to lose about 25 Pds everything I try fails do u have n e idea how many calories I should burn/ consume per day to see results :s
@knight4618 Was it an Iron Gym? The ones that Beachbody sells are really good. They were tested at 450 pounds and don’t bend. they do mess up door ways. You can put some duct tape on the parts that meet the door way to cushion the impact. You could also use it as a way to do pull downs with bands. Monica does that quite a bit when we do the back workouts.
big question for me, the pull up bar that i got form the p90x can’t hold me. It bent and kinda ruined the door way. I can’t buy a full pull up bar and i was wondering if it there is an alternative to the pull up work out.
Good luck with the race!
@ryuasian I would avoid white rice. It is white because it has been bleached. Get some wild brown rice and try to find something that has not been heavily processed. The more you focus on whole foods that remain in their unprocessed state, the better off you are going to be with the P90X plan.
i have another question can i eat white rice on my p90x diet?
@ryuasian If you go to our website, there are three videos, an excel spreadsheet and three word documents that work as shopping lists. They explain the whole thing.
i have no idea what to do with the p90x nutrition plan
what are u supposed to eat on the diet?
O! forget one important thing. the Chinese food I eat, is not what you see in America, no orange chicken, seaseme chicken, cheese. ….beef brocli…etc. once American sees it they will not wish to eat. I dont know if you think chinese food not healthy as American style or my tradition style. huge difference.
Not too bad. I’d ditch the white rice, and corn and then check the content of the protein bars. If there are a lot of items ending in “ose”, that’s sugar. Opt for a Larabar instead. The protein content is lower, but they are whole food based. Otherwise, that’s pretty good.
let me give you a view of what I eat: white rice, brown rice, spinach, beef, mushroom, green bean, corn, pork(some time) protein, banna, almonds, pickle, no cheese, apple, protein bar, no sugar, no coke, alots of WATER, avocado, olive, less salt, I work at FedEx, heavy lifting 4 hours every night for 5 days, whole wheat bread, turkey meat, oatmeal, Fish, NO SOUP. THAT IS IT. that is my chinese + p90x supply.
What I am trying to say is that American has no food tradition besides pizza and cheeseburgers. those healthy food suggested by p90x or other program is really plain simple, I call it “RAW” food. its like no cooking required, seemed to me its all microwave stuff.
That is the problem I am facing right now. same with my other friends came from Mexico, and Thai, they follow their tradition. and they just dont like eating american style cooking even it is healthy.
Wow, hard one. The problem with a lot of asian cooking and the P90X plan is the rice and noodles. Those starchy carbs are not going to work with a plan that is high in protein. Even in the end when you get a fair amount of carbs, you are so much better getting them from veggies, rather than starches due to the micronutrient value. Also, the oils can be high in bad fats. The book may have some recipes.
